Uptown Swing
& Jazz propels the music into the swing
style of the 1930's and 40's. The quintet consists of piano,
guitar, sax, string bass and trumpet/percussion. (Bert plays drums and
trumpet giving you 6 pieces for the price of 5).
- A quartet can consist of piano, sax, bass and trumpet (w/drums) or piano, bass, guitar and trumpet and for more intimate settings, the trio is perfect. It includes piano, bass and trumpet/drums.
The Double Barrs consist of Bert on trumpet & drums and Rose Marie Barr on piano. Together they have built up quite a following of venues where they are requested for return performances. A perfect small combo for a small budget or small venue requiring a lighter sound.
Rose Marie Barr has her own following and now her very own CD called Memories Of You. She performs solo engagements on the average of 20 per month from wedding ceremonies to receptions to sit down concerts. She is at home with most any style from classical to jazz to standards.
